Sunday Pop-Up Concert

There’s nothing like the steel drums and rhythms of island music played in those waterfront breezes! Catch it all at the first ever “Pop-Up Sunday” concert as “Barefoot Davis” comes to town Sunday, June18th all the way from Saint Thomas Island. So, throw on your island gear, grab your cooler and lawn chair, and come on down to the Deltaville Maritime Museum from 2-4 pm for a musical trip to the islands. Everything but the palm trees! Gates open at 1 pm. This is not a Groovin” so you need to get tickets at the Museum office or at day of at the door. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

In typical island style, “Barefoot Davis”(AKA Davis Murray) is very laissez-faire; in his biography, and I quote verbatim: “i was born and i am still alive, did a lot of stuff in between.” You can check out Davis and his music on his website at:  www.barefootdavis.net or on Facebook. His  2014  CD “Barefoot Dreamin’”  as well as his 3 other albums can be sampled on his website.

Davis is flying in to play at a wedding in Virginia earlier in the weekend and as he played at the Maritime Park on June 7th 2015 really wanted to come back. Let’s all welcome him!

From Davis in Saint thomas: : “Looking forward to performing again there.I wil bring Island country sounds featuring Barefoot Davis singing original tunes as well as popular cover tunes. I will be bringing Derek Escher from Rhode Island on lead guitar and mandolin and, of course …topping off with Khalfani Benjamin from St Thomas on Steel Pan Drum. thanks again, Barefoot”

Pop-up Sunday tickets are $10 advance and $15 at the door and  available at the museum office during opening hours or by mail. Call the office. Tickets also  at Nauti-Nell’s in Deltaville.
